Minecraft Forge is a great way to manage mods in this blocky, building-based game. If you're a Minecraft player, you likely have more mods than you can handle. You can tweak everything from visuals to optimizing the way you craft and interact with your inventory.
It's easy to get lost in Minecraft mods. Tools like Forge help you keep your cool. For those who love vanilla but don't know where to start modding, Forge is a useful tool that helps you keep track of everything.
There's plenty to look forward too with Minecraft 1.19 coming soon. Mods can be used to spice up the experience if you get impatient waiting for new features. This guide will show you how to install Minecraft Forge and how to use it. I also offer some great mod suggestions that will make Minecraft Forge a favorite.
Minecraft Forge makes modding easy. After installing the Forge client, it's possible to add it as a profile to your Minecraft launcher. This will add a button that allows you to view a list all of your mods.
You can then choose the mods that you wish to use, and launch the game as normal. You can also open the mods folder if you have just downloaded a mod. Click the button at the end of the list to do this. This allows you to copy the mod that you have just downloaded to the mods directory without having to manually search for it.
– First, go to Minecraftforge to download the program.
Ensure that you download the Forge version that corresponds with the Minecraft version you have. If Minecraft is 1.1, you should download the 1.1 version.
– Go to the downloaded file (it should be at 'C:Users[username]AppDataRoaming.minecraftmods') and open. Note: Java must be installed if you are unable to run the installer.
– Click 'Install Client' and hit 'OK.
– Open Minecraft, and change the profile setting to “forge”.
– After the game loads, you will see a new “Mods” menu on the start screen.
– Click this to choose the mods you want.
These mods will help you improve your Minecraft Forge experience.
JustEnoughItems: This item and recipe viewing mod is the most downloaded. It streamlines the process of browsing and using materials.
JourneyMap – This mod creates an interactive map of your world by marking points of interest and allowing you to explore them. It can be viewed in-game, or in a web browser.
MouseTweaks: Clicking and dragging can be tedious. Mouse Tweaks optimises clicks and drags by adding two left mouse clicks, and letting users use the mouse wheel to speed up the process. It's easy to find the Minecraft mods that you like and install them.
